Gardens By The Bay - TBM Reassembly

Tunnelling works for the Woodlands bound tunnel has completed from Gardens by the Bay station to the Marina East shaft, where the TBM has U-turned and commenced the second drive back towards the station. RC structure of the station is progressing between the platform and concourse levels.

Marina South - TBM Assembly

The 38th and final TBM for the Thomson stretch of the line has finally been lowered and is being assembled at the launch shaft. The CREG EPBM will drive the 750m Woodlands Bound tunnel towards Marina Bay first. Structure of the station continues to be cast, with installation of rebar ongoing at the roof slab level at the highest point. 

Marina Boulevard has been realigned back for shoring and excavation works to proceed for the interconnecting section between the station and cut and cover tunnel. Realignment of Marina Grove is being prepared for similar works to be carried out at the T228 interface.

Marina Bay Cast (III)

Structure of the station is now at the underplatform level of the Changi bound platform. Excavation work at all 3 new entrances and casting of the interchange linkways are in progress.

Shenton Way Excavation (II)

Great World Excavation (III)

Excavation works are still in progress from the previous quarter towards the formation level. The replacement shields for both TBMs have arrived on site, and an acoustic shed is being constructed over both launch shafts.

Orchard Excavation (II)

Excavation works are in progress at entrance B and the cut and cover tunnel. The second phase of bored piling works beneath Paterson Road is underway for the underpass construction to entrance C.

Stevens D-walls (VI)

Construction of the diaphragm wall continues with around 45 more panels to be constructed for the station and Entrance B. Stevens is the sole station along the Thomson stretch with its earth retaining structure incomplete, and works are targeted to complete by the 4th quarter.

Mount Pleasant Cast (II)

Structure of the station is proceeding up at the Mezzanine level. TBM S-936 had been re-lowered into the launch shaft in May for the commencement of tunnelling works on the Woodlands bound tunnel.
