Contract T202

Excavation of the Changi-bound tunnel is advancing at a slow pace and 2 cutterhead interventions have been performed since the launch of the TBM back in December. It's sister TBM is slated to commence mining on the Woodlands-bound tunnel by the end of this month.

Piling at Gardens By The Bay

The diaphragm wall for the Gardens By The Bay station has been completed and bored pile works on the foundation is taking place concurrent with the jet and fissure grouting. The launch shaft has been excavated down to about 9m now, with the realigned Marina Gardens Drive running above the decking.

Deep soil mixing activities continue along the tunnel route between the Marina Barrage and Gardens by the Bay, while construction of the diaphragm wall at the GBME retrieval shaft across the channel progresses.

Marina South Excavation

Excavation has commenced at the Marina South station and launch shaft, while piling works progress southwards for the cut and cover tunnel. Deep cement mixing activities continue along the tunnel route towards Marina Bay station.

Marina Bay Excavation

Construction of the diaphragm wall is nearing completion at Marina Bay and excavation of the station box has commenced.

Shenton Way D-walls (IV)

The diaphragm wall at the Shenton Way station is nearly completed, and construction of the bored piles as well as grouting is being carried out in tandem. STEC have constructed the TBM muck pit and commissioned 2 gantry cranes adjacent to the Marina Bay launch shaft while awaiting possession of the launch shaft which has yet to be handed over by the Taisei team.
