Gardens By The Bay Excavation

Excavation works are now underway at the station box. The diaphragm wall of the GBME shaft was completed in January and a pile test is currently being carried out on the surface. Excavation of the retrieval shaft would commence by the 2nd quarter.

Marina South Excavation (II)

Excavation works commences at the cut and cover tunnel, and continues within the Marina South station box. The formation level at the launch shaft has been reached and casting of the base slab is proceeding. An assembled gantry crane accompanied with the delivered CREG earth pressure balance TBM sits adjacent to the shaft surface. 

Marina Boulevard has been decked and realigned for the remaining pipe pile construction.

Marina Bay Excavation (II)

The roof slab of the station has been fully concreted and excavation for the top-down construction of the station progresses. 2 separate updates taken in March and April have been compiled in this post.

Piling at Shenton Way

The diaphragm wall of the Shenton Way station has completed and bored pile works for the station's foundation have been ongoing through the first quarter of the year. Excavation works for the station and integral launch shaft 3 will commence by the middle of the year. LS4 at Marina Bay was handed over to the STEC team after CNY where formation of the tunnel eye preps up for the TBM launching.

Maxwell D-walls (V)

D-walling work continues at the Maxwell Station. Excavation of the topsoil at the south end prepares for the casting of the roof slab for the top-down construction of the station.

Outram Park Cast

The roof slab of the station is progressively being constructed from the south while the d-walling works continues along the new linkway. Both NFM EPBMs arrived on the site at the beginning of March, and the first TBM was lowered down the south shaft 2 days later. The machine is currently being assembled up.

Havelock - TBM Launch

The rectangular CREG TBM has been launched at the Havelock station. Piling work continues for the station box.



Great World D-walls (VI)

The d-walling works for the Great World station have been ongoing for 18 months and are nearly completed. Excavation of both launch shafts are underway and segments for the 2 Herrenknecht TBMs are on the shaft surface.

Orchard D-walls (V)

D-walling works continue and progresses southwards along the cut and cover tunnel, while excavation works and casting of the roof slab for the top down construction of the station box takes place. Excavation of the launch shaft is ongoing.

Orchard Boulevard Cast

The diaphragm wall of the Orchard Boulevard station has been completed and the installation of rebar for the subsequent casting of the plenum roof begins at the station box.



Piling at Napier (V)

Piling works continue at the Napier station.

Stevens - TBM Launch

The final 4 NFM slurry TBMs have been lowered for the T216 project. TBM 1 will commence excavation on the Changi bound tunnel from Mount Pleasant to Stevens by the end of the month, while TBM 2 drive the Woodlands bound tunnel from the Dalvey shaft to Napier from next month. Sewer diversion and JGP works are concurrently taking place with the continuation of the diaphragm wall works at the Stevens station.
