Upper Thomson - TBM Assembly

Assembly of the first JTSC TBM at the Upper Thomson Launch Shaft (ULS) commenced yesterday. The front shield of the slurry TBM was lowered down yesterday afternoon, and the cutterhead was lowered down at noon earlier today. Inaugural drive along the 0.6km northbound tunnel will be performed towards the Upper Thomson station before relaunching back at the ULS for the southbound drive.

Lentor - TBM Assembly

The CREG TBMs have arrived at the Lentor launch shaft and assembly of the first machine commenced yesterday with the lowering of the rear shield.

S-930 Assembly

Assembly works for the Herrenkencht TBM have commenced at the Napier launch shaft with the both shields lowered down over the last past 2 days. Dual drives will be performed by the TBM for the twin tunnels to Orchard Boulevard, with the lower Woodlands bound tunnel to commence first by the end of this quarter.
