The third Herrenknecht Mix-shield tunnel boring machine for the Thomson Line, which had been ordered by Sinohydro under the T217 project, have just successfully passed its factory acceptance test at the assembly factory in China. Upon docking at OBV, the TBM will be dismantled within the tunnel and relaunched at Napier within a new shield for the excavation of the Changi Bound tunnel.
