Lentor & 5XO D-walls

D-walling works continue at the Lentor Station. Sheet piling for the subway leading to the Calrose Entrance has completed and shoring works are underway to construct the first layer of struts. Photos in this update were taken on March 14.

 D-walling at 5XO

D-walling works have commenced at the 5XO site last month. The d-walling works are progressing southwards and the 11th panel of the diaphragm wall is currently being made, out of a total of 97. The crossover tunnel box is 33m deep and the recent panels have encountered rock about 27m deep while excavating the trench. A hydrofraise has been put on standby at the site to excavate the rock.

As the d-walling works continue 24 hours, the CR5 team hopes to complete about 3-4 panels each week, with a successful completion of the whole earth retaining structure by Q4 this year. Excavation works will begin then.
