Gardens By The Bay - TBM Assembly

The Hitachi Zosen EPBM was lowered down the launch shaft in August and assembly works are underway beneath the road deck. Excavation works are mostly completed along the station box, and RC works have commenced for the base slab at the southern end.

Marina South Excavation (IV)

Excavation works are nearly completed at the S5-S6 layer across the 20m deep station box and cut and cover tunnel.

Shenton Way Cast (II)

The first zone of roof slab has been completed and casting of zone 2 is in progress. Excavation works for the 3rd zone are underway. 2 gantry cranes have been assembled at LS3.

Maxwell D-walls (VII)

The extensive Diaphragm wall and Barrett pile works, which have been ongoing for over 2 years, is entering its final quarter and will be completed by year end at the Maxwell station. Meanwhile, excavation works at Entrance A are progressing to the concourse level beneath the completed roof slab at the southern zone.

Upper Thomson - TBM 3 Assembly

The third TBM for the T212 project was lowered down the Upper Thomson Launch Shaft today following shipment delays. This is the 34th TBM to be lowered for the entire Thomson Line project (C1-C4), and also the last single-drive TBM to be launched. The JTSC Slurry TBM will undergo assembly works within the launch shaft and commence excavation on the 1.36km Woodlands Bound tunnel from the ULS towards Caldecott station by year end.

Collaborating with the tunnel team, the lowering process was captured over a span of 30 hours.

Outram Park Cast (III)

Completion of the last zone of roof slab took place concurrent with the demobilization of the D-wall grabs and ancillary silo & slurry equipment in August. Bulk excavation works are now underway at the Outram Park station.

Piling at Havelock (VI)

SBP works continue at Havelock station. Tunnelling works for the rectangular TBM which were envisaged by the project team to have been completed now, are only midway through with 61 segments jacked thus far.
