Piling at Mayflower (IV)

Piling works at the Mayflower Station are now about 60% completed. The third traffic diversion along Avenue 4 was implemented earlier this month. The realigned road to the east now allow for piling to be done on the west side of the station box. The diversion is envisaged to last for 3 months. Grouting is taking place on the south side of the station as well.

Lentor Excavation

Excavation works have commenced on the north face of the station box. The outline of the launch shaft at the south end of the station is evident too, and we can expect excavation of the shaft to commence by the third quarter of this year. The linkway to the Calrose entrance seems to have completed excavation to the formation level where 3 layers of struts have been installed.

D-walling works continue at the 5XO crossover site along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 4.

The TBM will be executing an initial drive on the Woodlands bound tunnel towards the retrieval shaft at Lentor. As of Monday, the main shields and backup gantries have been lowered while the cutterhead remains on the surface of the shaft. The gantry crane has been assembled as well. Tunnelling works should commence in a month's time.

Piling across the Tagore C&C have completed and the first layer of strut have been installed across the entire span of the structure.

The integral north launch shaft, along with a section of the cut and cover tunnel have been shored and excavated down to the S2 layer. The first STEC EPB TBM for the project had just passed its factory acceptance at the end of May and will subsequently be delivered to the launch shaft. Pre-assembled gantry crane segments are also laid beside the shaft.

Piling at Woodlands (IV)

Piling works at the Woodlands station have been going on for almost a year now. Sewer diversion works around Avenue 2/5 by the separate contractor are still on going, and we should see preparations for the diversion of the junction by the next quarter for the crossover tunnel construction. The temporary bus interchange is on track to open by year end, with the terminal structure almost completed.

Piling at Woodlands North (II)

Commencing the Q2 updates at the Woodlands North site, numerous piling rigs are executing the bored pile works for the station's earth retaining stabilizing structure. Towards the south, excavation of the launch shaft has reached down to the S3 layer.

The first Kawasaki TBM for the T202 project has been delivered to the site. Supporting the slurry TBM for the upcoming tunnelling work is the assembled slurry treatment plant provided by Pigott Shaft Drilling. Deep Cement Mixing and grouting is being carried out along the proposed tunnel alignment at Woodlands St 91.
