Upper Thomson Excavation

D-walling works for the station was completed earlier this quarter and the associated silos have been dismantled. Bored piling works for the station's foundation are taking place at the south side of the station, while excavation works on the north end has reached the concourse level.

Bright Hill Excavation (II)

Excavation works at the station box are ongoing to the platform level, with the concourse slab completed. The Woodlands bound tunnel to Mayflower has presumably been completed by TBM 4, and the remaining 3 TBMs are anticipated to complete by the next quarter.

Mayflower Cast (IV)

Structural works for the station and entrances are largely completed. A realignment of Street 11 has taken place for the construction of the underpass link from the station to entrance D.

Lentor Cast (III)

Construction of Entrance C has started adjacent to the launch shaft. Excavation works for the station is almost completed with structure of the platform level presumably taking shape.

Tagore Backfill

Filling works are in progress over the completed structure at Tagore which would site the 1 hectare trackworks staging ground to come. The final TBM C2 is about 75% completed and will complete by the next quarter.

Springleaf Cast (II)

Structure of the Springleaf station is taking shape with the first section of roof slab completed.

Facility Building Cast (III)

The full face rock conditions experienced by the final 2 EPBMs from Springleaf have significantly hindered the progress over the last quarter with an average advancement rate of a single ring building per day. TBM 1 is about 30 rings from breakthrough and should complete within a month's time.

TEL1 Tunnelling Completes

Bored tunnelling works have completed this month under Stage 1 of the project between Woodlands North, Mandai Depot and the Sembawang Airbase cut and cover tunnel site. 12 tunnel drives were launched using 3 Earth Pressure Balance machine 4 Slurry TBMs which bore through the weathered Bukit Timah Granite to complete the 8km network of mainline and reception tunnels beneath Woodlands.

For most of the tunnels, the basic structural completion (BSC) have already been achieved with the first stage concreting (FSC) for the track bed, together with brackets installation for the various SWC. Trackworks are slated to commence through the tunnels by the end of 2017, with the remaining SWCs gaining access from the 2nd half of 2018.

Woodlands South Cast

Concourse slab of the station structure has been cast and excavation works are progressing down to the platform.

Casting of the concourse level is midway completed across the station box, while excavation works at Entrance F, G and the subway link within the bus interchange have commenced.

Woodlands North Cast (IV)

Casting of the concourse slab at the station is largely completed and structural works are progressing up to the roof level of the station. The south crossover tunnel is completed and filling works are taking place to the roof level. Structural works on the overrun tunnel are underway.
